With the growing number of online students, one fact has become common knowledge: If you want to succeed in your academic career, mastering essay writing skills is critical.

Just as with any other academic assignment you need to choose a topic first of all. It has been said many times before but bears repeating – start by choosing something interesting and not too broad so that you have enough pieces of information to work with later when writing your main text portion. Remember to look at both sides of the story even if you are going to argue against one side or the other. You need an opinion for which you can stand, meaning that if someone disagrees with what you say, your argument will be strong enough to withstand criticism. You also need facts and figures to support your opinion.

When it comes to the actual introduction, you may want to start by listing what the problem is and why there is a need for addressing this problem. Then you can explain how your essay will help address the given problem: argue for or against something, make suggestions as to how things could be changed etc. This approach will let you introduce all main points of your argumentative essay in one place so that later on when writing longer sections of your work (e.g., middle paragraphs) you’ll know exactly what direction each paragraph should take and how it relates to previous ones from an overall point of view making transitions easier.

The introduction is rather short and has a limited number of sentences so all you need to do is to find the best way to present your stand on the given issue. It’s important that you make it interesting for the reader, not too long (maybe 3-4 sentences) but also not wordy or overly complicated as this will put off the readers from reading further. Picking one introductory sentence and expanding on it in detail can help provide more information without making things seem too rushed or unorganized. You should also try and avoid using complex literary devices like metaphors as they may distract your readers away from understanding what exactly you are trying get across to them.

Of course, this does not mean that using simple language is always the best solution. What works in one place does not necessarily work in another, especially when it comes to essay writing service. Just remember that you are trying to convince someone with your argument and if a piece of writing is too complicated (e.g., using uncommon vocabulary), people tend to lose interest or get confused and stop reading altogether so this can end up having a negative effect on your grade for the assignment as well as on how likely they will be to recommend you as an excellent student for other classes or jobs in the future.
